South Brunswick Snow!

Beautiful South Brunswick New Jersey, experienced snow from 3:00 pm on February third till 1:00 am today. All of the snow resulted in three inches of white, glistening snow! The kids enjoyed playing in the snow but, the adults grabbed shovels and and started shoveling. It resulted in a ninety minute school delay! On the other hand, the snow covered roads resulted in tough driving conditions. On the bright side, trucks plowed, salted and sand the roads to make driving way easier. Finally, the snow that South Brunswick received was good and bad.

How infrared help?

Infrared waves help in numerous ways. But, I will focus on how it helps to see at night. Firstly, infrared waves help detect different temperatures and the temperatures come in on the camera in colors. The cooler the object, the darker the color(blue, purple) and the hotter the object, the brighter the color(red,yellow, bright green). For example, if scientist are making a documentary on elephants and they want to track them during at night, they can use infrared to track their body heat to find out where they are. Also, the army can use infrared at night to pinpoint enemy the enemy's position so they could take them out. In my opinion, infrared can help in many ways, but as you can see, it is very helpful at night.

The inauguration of Barack Obama

On Tuesday, January 20, 2009 the United States experienced their new president Barack Obama. This inauguration was one to remember because he made history by being the first black president. He wasn't the only one that was sworn in that day. Joe Biden was chosen to be his running mate and because Obama won, he became the Vice President of the United States. Now George W Bush and Dick Cheney are out of the white house, the question is, who will do a better job at being president and vice president of the United States?

Firstly, the first thing Obama plans on doing once he is in office is shutting down Guantanamo Bay. Then, Obama still wants to keep U.S. troops in Iraq for the sixteen more months. On top of that, when Biden came back from Afghanistan and told Obama," The truth is that things are going to get tougher in Afghanistan before they're going to get better." With that in mind, Obama thinks that he can win in Afghanistan, which defies what everyone believes. I think that Obama will be able to undo what Bush did and make America better again. All in all, Barack and Biden have big plans for the United States.

The terrible economy is what many believe is all Bush's fault. All of the messes Bush created, he left for Obama to fix. The war in Iraq and the economy are the most famous messes Bush and Cheney created. Bush kept on sending troops to Iraq for years and we got no where. Most important, he was the president when we got the terrible economy that we have now. As a result,he left millions of citizens without a job. I think that Bush didn't do as good of a job that he should of done, and he dug America into a deep hole that would be hard to get out of.

In my opinion, the inauguration of Barack Obama was marvelous. After all, me and millions of other people saw history in the making. I think that Barack Obama and Joe Biden will do marvelous at leading the country and do better than Bush and Cheney. Out with old and in with new is a good way of saying we need a new president in my opinion. Finally, I think having Obama as president will do wonders for America, and like he said, "It's time for a change."

Does !NEW! nano-coating BOOST SoLaR EFFiCiENCY???

They say that the new nano-coating boosts solar efficiency, does it? The new coating allows solar panels to absorb sunlight from almost every angle. We can thank scientists from Future Chips Constellation (FCC) for creating the coating by using nanotechnology. The FCC team found out that by stacking coatings(Consisting of silicon dioxide and titanium dioxide nanorods positioned at oblique angles) on top of each other which enhances anti-reflected properties of each layer. Having more layers helps to "bend" the flow of sunlight which ultimately helps the solar panels capture sunlight that would have been reflected off. All in all, the new nano-coating helps to increase solar efficiency and boost solar energy. I believe from the information that I have read had me believe that the new nano-technology can boost solar technology.

Symbiotic Relationships

In science class, we have learned about symbiotic relationships. Mutualism, commensalism and parasitism are different forms of symbiotic relationships. Mutualism is when on organism benefits and the other organism isn't harmed. Commensalism is when both organisms benefit and neither is harmed. Lastly, parasitism is when a organism benefits while the other is harmed. In my opinion, if our teacher didn't teach us about symbiotic relationships, we wouldn't understand what they would mean. Finally, mutualism, commensalism and parasitism are all forms of symbiotic relationships.

BOOOOM BLOX PONE!!!Ω

In the best class with the best teacher ever, we played BOOM BLOCKS, in the one and only science class. Of course we played the game in science class with our teacher (name and address not available) and learned how science is involved with the game. The point of the game is to knock the blocks down without getting a -10 down too. The science in the game is to hit the blocks on an angle(science) to knock them down. In my opinion, without science, the game would be even harder. All in all the game that is for the nintendo wii, isn't just science but it is also fun.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 isn't just a European sports car that goes 202mph, it is also a giant chunk of technology and science. The exotic dream car is a new step in scientific technology for cars. This dream car can't go super fast if science was involved. When the designers were creating the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560, they had to make the car aerodynamic. The designers made the front of the car lower to decrease the amount of air that goes under the car, hitting the bottom of it which slows it down. On the hand, if the designers didn't lower the front of the car, the car wouldn't be as fast, which is what the press, magazine Publishers and customers of Lamborghini's or future customers want in an European sports car. In my opinion, since the designers made the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 aerodynamic, it became a big hit and that's what people want, so that's what Lamborghini did. All in all, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 isn't just an European sports car, it's also a giant step in the science of making cars that can exceed speeds of 200 mph.
